Doha Airport (DOH)

Doha International Airport is located near to the growing metropolis of Doha and is the only commercial airport in Qatar. When you come here in the summer you cannot expect less than 45°C but lots of international tourists! The airport has a capacity of 12 million passengers per year but is actually used by 18 million! Therefore the first phase of the New Doha International Airport will open in 2013. However, the current airport already serves you with spacious seating areas and three lounges in the Departure and Transfer Terminal as well as an even bigger duty free zone of 2,500 m2 with shops of all kinds. You will find everything from fashion, electronics, cosmetics, watches to jewelry! By the way, when the new airport is ready Doha will welcome you with 25,000 m2 of retail stores! What about a snack? In Terminal B you will find a food court with mostly fast food and ice cream which will be a blessing for you in the summer! Coffee shops serving hot and cold drinks are also around. Arrivals and Departures From Doha International Airport you can reach nearly every destination in the world! The most important airline carrier is Qatar Airways that offer most of the flight. About 30 other airlines will bring you mostly to destinations in the Middle East and Europe.
