Yerevan Airport (EVN)

The Yerevan Zvarnots international airport represents the main airway travel of the Republic of Armenia and has been in operation since 1961. Formerly the airport was used solely for the purpose of handling flights from the Former USSR. Later in the year 2006, the airport was repaired and envisaged with proper runways, check in systems for safety and installation of VIP lounges along with a new passenger terminal was opened for public use. By the year 2010, the airport became efficient in handling about 1,612,016 passengers and around 9,500 aircrafts moved out of the airport.

Arrival and departure

The airport is located at a distance of just 12 km, from the centre of Armenia and is located geographically between the crossroads of Asia and Europe and thus invites many international flight carriers on a daily basis. The major airlines are the Armenia airlines, Siberia airlines, Atlantis airlines, Austrian airlines etc. to name a few. The runway of this airport is capable of accepting aircrafts of capacity Antonov An-124, Airbus 380 and Boeing 747- 400. The airport terminals, passenger lounge and runways are maintained in perfect order to invite international customers round the year.
