Gyandzha Airport Facts
The Ganja international airport serves the state of Ganja which is the second largest city in the entire Azerbaijan. It was formerly sued by the air and defence forces of Azerbaijani for their military supplies and to send air cargo. History also reveals that the airport has been used by the Soviet air force once. But now the major section of the airport also serves the civilian population and their aviation needs. The airport has two runways; one is paved with concrete and the other with reinforced concrete. There are provisions for shopping, money exchanging and ATM money withdrawing facilities at the airport.
Arrival and departure
About eight international flight carriers serve the Ganja international airport and connect it with the rest of the world. They are the Azerbaijan airlines, the national air flight carrier, connecting Ganja to Baku, St Petersburg and Novosibirsk, Onur air connecting Istanbul- Ataturk, VIM airlines connecting Moscow and Domodedovo, Yamal airlines, whose destination is Tyuimen, Moskocia airlines, Ural airlines and Onur air. Domestic flights connecting the different cities of Azerbaijan also fly through this airport.
