The Baku Heydar Aliyev International airport is one among the best of five international airports serving the country of Azerbaijan. It renders flying services to about one million passengers every year and the present name was renamed by changing its previous name, Bina international airport with a settlement near Baku. The name of this airport was further changed to the Heyday Aliyev international airport after incorporating the name from the nationwide leader of Azerbaijan. The airport is the base of the national flight carrier of Azerbaijan the Hava Yollari is connecting the state with international ports.

The airport has got two runways paved with asphalt and concrete and meets the state civil aviation requirements; it belongs to the government of Azerbaijan and operates round the clock.
