Mosul Airport Facts
The City of Two Springs, as Mosul is known as well, is located about 350 km north of Baghdad. The airport is in the south of the city that has become the second largest city in Iraq with about 2 million residents. Its diverse religious makeup – an ancient mixture of Christianity and Islam – gives it its own character. The great history of the city and the tourist attractions are definitely worth experiencing! The airport underwent some renovations and reopened as a civilian airport in 2007 to prepare for economic growth. Visitors coming from around the globe should like the heat because in the summertime you can count on 50°C and more!
Arrivals and Departures
Despite the title of an "International" Airport there is just one connection available in Mosul. It leads to Amman, the capital of Jordan.
