Kutaisi Airport Facts
Kutaisi international airport is also known as the Kopitnari Airport and is located about 14 km to the west of Kutaisi, which is the second largest city in Georgia. It is also the capital of Imereti. There are about three international airports in operation in Georgia and Kopitnari airport is one among them. The airport has fully furnished runways and has an average length of 2,600 meters. The airport was recently renovated in the year 2011-12. The priority of this air station is to attract low tariff airlines through its modern and sophisticated runways and airport premises and create a unique environment between airlines and airports. A very limited number of international airlines use this airport, of which the most prominent and important of them is Wiz air, flies through Kutaisi and koptinari. Others are Belavia airlines, covering minks national, the Ural airlines running through Moscow- Domodedovo and S7 airlines through Moscow and Domodedovo. The common destination for flights starting from this airport is Ukraine and the airline serves a very limited number of fly savvy populations.
