Kutaisi international airport is also known as the Kopitnari Airport and is located about 14 km to the west of Kutaisi, which is the second largest city in Georgia. It is also the capital of Imereti. There are about three international airports in operation in Georgia and Kopitnari airport is one among them. The airport has fully furnished runways and has an average length of 2,600 meters. The airport was recently renovated in the year 2011-12.
