Kabul Airport (KBL)

Kabul lying along the valley of the Kabul River is well connected with other countries of the world and attracts tourists extensively with its scintillating natural wealth and hospitality. The Kabul international airport is otherwise called as the khwala Rawash Airport and is one of the most important and primary airports in the entire Afghanistan. The Kabul international airport has been in operation and is open for public use from the year 2002 though it got long constructed in the year 1960. And this airport is the official base for the national carrier of Afghanistan, the Ariana Afghan Airlines. From here many international flights fly to connect Kabul with the rest of the World.

Kabul is well connected to many international destinations such as Delhi, Kuwait, Tehran, Riyadh, and Islamabad etc. Other international carriers that use the Kabul international airport are the Safi airways, Pamir airways, Kam air and Pakistan international airlines etc. Domestic carriers also use the terminals and runways of this airport and Kabul is connected with the border of Tajikistan by a tunnel that runs under the Hindu Kush Mountains.
