Damascus International Airport Facts

Damascus International Airport registered a rapid and constant growth of traffic over the past few years, needless to say: before the Syrian Civil War began. Since then many flights have been ceased and will be reincorporated when Syria is safe again. The airport itself is the most important one for the country and offers various facilities to the passengers: Two duty free outlets can be found inside the terminal as well as a coffee shop in the Departures Hall where you can rest a bit before your flight. Several souvenir shops are distributed over the building. Three restaurants offer quality meals of different cuisines. First class lounges are included as well.

Arrivals and Departures

Most destinations you can reach from Damascus are located in the Middle East, e.g. Tehran-Imam Khomeini, Baghdad, Jeddah, Abu Dhabi, Aleppo, Amman-Queen Alia, Bahrain, Beirut, Dammam, Riyadh or Isfahan, just to mention a few. If you are heading to Africa you may choose between Algiers and Cairo and in Europe you can reach Moscow's second airport Vnukovo.
