Atlasjet is a low-fare Turkish airline owned by two large Turkish tour operators, Etstur and Ã–ger Tours. This airline isbased in Florya, BakirkÃ¶y district, Istanbul, Turkey, operating domestic and international scheduled passenger services and regular charter flights to Europe, Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates, usually out of either AtatÃ¼rk International Airport, Istanbul, Ercan Airport, Northern Cyprus, Adnan Menderes Airport, Izmir or Antalya Airport.
Formerly known as Atlasjet Airlines, Atlasjet was established on March 14, 2001 by Ã–ger Holding A.S., licensed to carry out â€œPassenger and Cargo Transportation on Unscheduled Flights, Domestic and Internationalâ€. Two weeks later, on July 1, 2004, Atlasjet started its scheduled flights domestically. In April 2004 the Turkey tourism group ETS took over 49% of atlasjet and a new organizational structure was introduced to the company combining the forces of the ETS and the Ã–ger Group. Consequently, Mr. Murat ERSOY has been appointed to bear the title of President, respectively. In Turkey it is the first private airline holding the IATA certificate.
Atlasjet operates international scheduled flights to the following destinations:Â Kazakhstan, Iraq, Serbia, Moldova, Croatia, United Kingdom, Greece, Northern Cyprus, Kosovo, Iran and Egypt. Domestic ones includethese cities: Adana, Antalya, Bodrum, Dalaman, Istanbul and Izmir.
Atlasjet fleet consists of the following aircrafts: 1 Airbus A319-100, 9 Airbus A321-100/200, 3 Airbus A330-200 and 3 Boeing 757-200.
