The Adria Airways story dates back to 1961, when it was founded as a charter company. The company has been expanding during the 60s and 70s and started serving scheduled routes in 1983. After Slovenia’s independence in 1991, Adria’s operating structure was substantially changed with shifting from charter flights to scheduled routes. The company completed its privatization process in 1996.  21st century marked the the cooperation with European airlines, followed by fleet expansion. About the airlines

Adria Airways is the airline of Slovenia. Its flight network connects Ljubljana with more than 20 European cities and offers connections to Southeast Europe. The company is also a member of Star Alliance network. Its head office is located at: Zgornji Brnik 130h, SI-4210 Brnik, Slovenia. There are representative offices in: Ljubljana, Airport Jože Pucnik Ljubljana, Paris, Moscow, Frankfurt, Zagreb, Zurich and Brussels.

Main route

Adria Airways offers around 220 scheduled flights each week From Pristina to Duesseldorf, Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt, Istanbul, London Gatwick, Moscow Sheremetyevo, Munich, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Priština, Sarajevo, Skopje, Tirana, Vienna Schwechat, Copenhagen, Kiev, Podgorica, Stockholm, Tirana, Warsaw, Vienna and Zurich. In the summer Adria Airways also operates flights to Athens, Barcelona, Dublin, Madrid, and Manchester.

In addition to its scheduled routes, Adria Airways offers charter flights from Ljubljana and all other (primarily European) airports to passengers, travel agencies, companies and other airlines. The CRJ aircraft (48 seats) are particularly suitable for the transportation of smaller groups or sports teams.
There are approximately 18 charter flights per week in both types of aircraft (Airbus 320 and CRJ 200 LR) catering to Slovene and foreign travel agencies during the summer season. Adria Airways operates charter flights for the most part seasonally, and most frequently to destinations in the Mediterranean. Sharm el-Sheikh and Hurghada in Egypt are currently the only charter destinations served by Adria Airways all year round.


Currently the airway is operating 13 aircraft, including: 2 Airbus A320, 2 Airbus A319 (135 seats), 4 Canadair Regional Jet CRJ900 and 6 Canadair Regional Jet CRJ200LR.
