China domestic flights

i intend to visit Shanghai from Beijing, can anyone tell me when is the best time to book for a ticket, should i book in advance or wait until the date is close? i took at look on expedia and ctrip, both are so expensive, any suggestions will be graceful.

it is hard to tell you when should you book, but i suggest you to book over a travel agent, they will help you save more money.

in my experience, booking a ticket in advance will save you a lot, please take a look on this website: qunar.com and yoee.com. both offer good price for China internal flights. good luck.
