Amman Civil - Marka Airport Facts

The Amman Civil Airport or Marka International Airport was once the hub of Royal Jordanian that moved to the Queen Alia International Airport after it was opened. The Civil Airport is now the second one of the capital and is located in East Amman. It is quite a small site so it features just one terminal. However, it includes some duty free stores and restaurants. A number of hotels are not far away either. Who comes here needs to love simplicity! Despite the number of just 200,000 passengers per year the airport is open 24 hours!

Arrivals and Departures

Since Queen Alia Airport was opened up the Amman Civil Airport serves mostly for domestic flights, especially to Aqaba. But other destinations outside Jordan are Cairo, Baghdad, Damascus, Dubai, Istanbul-Sabiha, Najaf, El-Arish, Abu Dhabi, Jeddah, Medina, Mosul and Najaf. The only connection to Europe goes to Stockholm-Arlanda.
